In the past decade I have had the honor of traveling to both Nicaragua and Costa Rica several times. On these pilgrimages I embraced the opportunity to live, work, and share with the countless potters from these rich, ancient, indigenous cultures. Much of what I experienced and learned from these humble creative people has sat dormant in my creative conscious for the last few years, waiting to emerge into a new body of work. The result is a personal narrative, a journey of exploration into presence, challenge, limitation, loss and beauty. These vessels are a beginning…and mark a new passionate optimism for me, a new sense of urgency to “get to work”.
